Animal Reiki

What Is Animal Reiki?
Animal Reiki is a gentle, energy-based practice that offers animals a quiet space for rest and connection. Like Reiki for people, it involves offering Reiki energy without trying to control the experience or determine what should happen.
The difference is that animals get to lead.
I don't expect an animal to behave in a particular way or show any specific response. Some may settle down and rest. Others may move around, go about their day, or show no noticeable response at all.
My approach is rooted in the belief that animals are not simply passive recipients of care. They have their own preferences, boundaries, and ways of communicating.
I offer Reiki as an invitation, not something imposed upon them.
For animals experiencing stress, change, illness, aging, or the end of life, Reiki can be offered as an additional source of comfort alongside appropriate veterinary care. It isn't intended to diagnose, treat, or cure medical conditions.
Sometimes we cannot change what an animal is going through. But we can still offer them our presence, our attention, and a little extra care.
Distance Animal Reiki
Distance Reiki allows your animal to remain wherever they feel most comfortable. No car ride, unfamiliar room, strange smells, or expectation to interact with someone new.
They can stay in their favorite bed, their stall, their pasture, or wherever they choose.
During a session, I settle into a quiet space and connect with your animal intuitively and energetically. I begin by inviting them into the experience, paying attention to what I sense and allowing their energy to guide the session.
They don't have to sit still. They can sleep, wander around, or completely ignore the whole thing. That's okay.
I approach each session with the understanding that every animal has a choice in how they participate.
You don't need to prepare your animal or make anything happen. You can simply be with them.
When Might Animal Reiki Be Supportive?
You might reach out during times of:
-
Anxiety, fear, stress, or difficult past experiences
-
Adoption, moving, travel, or changes at home
-
Illness, recovery, or periods of rest
-
Aging or physical challenges
-
Grief or the loss of a companion
-
Hospice and end-of-life care
Also, there doesn't have to be something wrong with your animal for them to receive Reiki. Sometimes you may simply want to offer them a little extra care.
