Your Flower Essence Blend

Every flower essence blend I create is made for an individual person. I do not have a collection of ready-made formulas for anxiety, grief, confidence, or whatever else someone might be experiencing.

I'm interested in the whole person, not just one particular feeling or difficulty. Our experiences, relationships, emotional patterns, and personal histories are all part of the picture.

And, of course, the plants themselves are an important part of this work. I draw on years of studying flower essences, my intuition, and my own energetic connection with plants when creating each formula.

How I Create Your Blend

Most of my flower essence work is done at a distance.

The process begins with an intake form where you can tell me about yourself, what's happening in your life, and what you'd like to explore through flower essence work.

I spend time reading what you've shared and considering which essences might be appropriate. Sometimes I may have additional questions before putting your formula together.

Giving Your Blend Some Time

I generally suggest working with your blend for three consecutive nights before we discuss what you've been experiencing.

I believe flower essences can bring subconscious material into awareness, and that process isn't always comfortable. Sometimes feelings, memories, or realizations come up that we'd rather not look at.

That's one reason I encourage giving a formula a little time

I enjoy having the time to do this without the pressure of making decisions during an appointment. It allows me to sit with what you've told me, revisit my notes, consider the individual plants, and give each blend the attention I feel it deserves.

Two people experiencing similar difficulties may receive completely different formulas. I don't believe there's a single flower essence prescription for a particular emotion or life experience.

Once I've created your blend, I'll include instructions for how to work with it. Those instructions may vary depending on the essences I've selected and what we're exploring together.

Working With Your Essences

One of the things I find most fascinating about flower essences is how differently people experience them.

In my own experience, some essences have brought emotions or realizations into awareness quite suddenly, while others have been much more subtle.

You might begin to notice familiar patterns, changes in your emotional responses, or feelings you haven't paid much attention to before. Dreams and memories can also become particularly interesting during this process.

And sometimes you may not notice much at all.

I don't think every experience needs to be dramatic to be meaningful, and I don't want you searching for signs that something is happening.

I'm much more interested in what you actually experience.

rather than immediately stopping at the first uncomfortablefeeling. In my experience, there can be something meaningful to explore in those moments.

But there's an important difference between feeling uncomfortable and feeling overwhelmed.

If your experience feels too intense, you can stop taking your blend. You don't need to push yourself through something that feels unmanageable.

After those first three nights, we can discuss what you've noticed and decide together whether continuing with the formula, adjusting it, or taking a break makes the most sense.

I may also suggest a different way of working with your essences as we go along. Sometimes I recommend taking a formula several times throughout the day. Other times, I prefer an evening schedule.

I like to give an essence time before automatically adding more or moving on to something else. More isn't necessarily better.

Having Support Along the Way

I take flower essence work seriously because I know from my own experience just how profound it can be.

Sometimes an essence seems to work quietly in the background. Other times, the emotions, memories, and realizations that come up can really rock your world.

That's why I want the people I work with to have a stable support system in their lives. That might include trusted friends or family, a therapist, or other people they can turn to when things get difficult.

I'm a big believer in therapy, and I think flower essences can be a wonderful complement to it. I've worked with essences alongside my own therapy for years, and that combination has been deeply meaningful to me.

I don't see flower essences as a replacement for mental health care, and I don't want anyone relying on me or their essence blend as their only source of support.

This work can be beautiful, surprising, uncomfortable, and sometimes downright intense. I want you to have people in your corner as you explore it.

A Little Journal for Your Observations

I'll include a small journal with your blend because I love the idea of having a place to record what comes up while you're working with your essences.

You might write about your mood, memories, dreams, relationships, or anything else that catches your attention.

It doesn't have to be lengthy or beautifully written. A few words are fine.

I'm particularly interested in dreams. I believe our subconscious has a lot to say, and I've found that dreams can offer fascinating glimpses into what's happening beneath our everyday awareness.

Of course, not every dream or passing thought needs to mean something. The journal is simply a way to keep track of your experience and give us something to look back on when we check in.

It's also entirely yours. You can share as much or as little of it with me as you'd like.

Receiving Your Blend

You don't need to visit me in person to have a flower essence blend created.

Once your formula is ready, we can arrange for you to pick it up, meet locally, or have it shipped to you.

Your blend will come with instructions for using it and a small journal for your observations.

We'll also have an opportunity to discuss your experience after those first three nights and consider how you'd like to proceed.

Flower essences can be incorporated into in-person Reiki sessions when appropriate, but most of my individualized blends are created separately.

I love working this way. It allows me to give each person and each formula the time and consideration I want to bring to the process.

A Note About Flower Essence Work

Flower essences are part of a traditional energetic and spiritual practice. Their effects on emotional and mental health have not been established through strong clinical evidence, and they aren't a substitute for medical care or psychotherapy.

I believe deeply in this work because of my own experiences with it, but I also believe in having good professional and personal support when we're navigating difficult things.

For me, those approaches can exist alongside one another.
