Herbs

I've spent many years studying herbalism, including advanced clinical herbalism studies with Maria Noël Groves of Wintergreen Botanicals. I also continue my education through specialized classes offered by the American Herbalists Guild.
While I've pursued extensive education in herbalism, I have chosen not to practice as a clinical herbalist. Instead, I enjoy putting what I've learned into practice through working with plants, experimenting with preparations, and making herbal products in small batches.
Although I do not keep a set inventory, I often have tinctures, infused oils, vinegars, salves and syrups available for purchase at The Rooted Fawn.

My Love of Herbs and Flowers
I really love herbs and flowers.
I love learning about them, working with them, and finding beautiful, high-quality plants grown by small farms and growers who care about what they produce.
There's something genuinely exciting to me about discovering a small herb farm, finding an especially beautiful batch of dried calendula or lavender, or opening a package of herbs (like nettles) that still looks and smells like the plant it came from.
I am particular about quality, and honestly, searching for wonderful herbs is part of the fun.
Then I get to make things with them.
My shelves are usually filled with jars of herbs and flowers waiting to become teas, tinctures, infused oils, salves, syrups, vinegars, herbal foot baths, or whatever I happen to be interested in making at the time.
I enjoy the process as much as the finished product — the steeping, infusing, blending, experimenting, and learning as I go.
